Cold winter weather finds many animals curled up in their dens to stay warm for the winter. Bears, groundhogs, chipmunks and raccoons sleep away the cold weather! Find out which animals are true hibernators and which are merely dormant for the winter. Meet a TNC Animal Ambassador that might hibernate. Adults and families with children 3 and up can join a Tenafly Nature Center Environmental Educator to experience a winter walk to see which animals are about.

Online registration is no longer available but space is still available. Interested families are welcome to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the program start time to register and pay with cash or check.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held under cover. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Children under 2 free.
