Hello! Tenafly Boy Scout Troop 86 needs your help! We are partnering with the Rotary Club of Tenafly to raise funds for the Tenafly Nature Center, a non-profit organization. Scouts will volunteer to remove two invasive plant species: Mile a Minute weed and Japanese Stiltgrass. You can help by sponsoring our two teams of boy scouts, the “Miles 5k” and the “Japanese Sushi” teams.
Here’s how it works: On August 22nd and 23rd, our teams will perform community service by removing the invasive plant species. At the end of the event, the Rotary Club will weigh their gathered amount of invasive species, our troop can win a prize if we gather the most. In addition, you can support our team by donating funds to benefit the Tenafly Nature Center. Our goal for this fundraising event is $1,500.
The donation window will be open from Sunday, August 14th to September 18th. We hope you consider helping out and doing something good for the town of Tenafly!
All funds raised will be used to support Tenafly Nature Center.
