Cold winter weather finds many animals curled up in their dens to stay warm for the winter. Bears, groundhogs, chipmunks and raccoons sleep away the cold weather! Find out which animals are true hibernators and which are merely dormant. Meet a TNC Animal Ambassador and join a Tenafly Nature Center Environmental Educator for a winter walk to learn which native animals are out and about even in the colder season.

This program is intended for adults and families with children ages 3 & up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Program will be held entirely outdoors. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held under cover. Social distancing in effect. Masks required when distance cannot be maintained. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
