Make memories as we come together for a fun-filled, sensory-friendly, exploration session in the great outdoors. Sensory-friendly exploration is designed especially for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other disabilities. The program will focus on a aspect of the natural world and encourage exploration for the child, siblings, and guardians. Through hands-on interactions with artifacts, small hikes, and making friends with animals we welcome families to learn, support and inspire one another.
This program is intended for families with sensory sensitive children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Program will be held entirely outdoors. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held under cover. Weather appropriate clothing recommended. Social distancing in effect. Masks required when distance cannot be maintained. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
