Celebrate the season with fall fun for the whole family at Tenafly Nature Center! This entertaining and educational evening offers a unique way to enjoy the wonders of nature as day turns to night—perfect for animal lovers of all ages.
Taking place in late October, this program embraces the magic of the season and invites you to enjoy seasonal activities with a nature twist. Skip the scares and explore the forest after dark to meet some of the fascinating creatures that call it home. From owls and snakes to moths and mammals, you’ll meet live nocturnal animals and discover how they adapt to life in the nighttime woods.
Dress up as your favorite nocturnal animal and come early to meet the animals while it’s still light out, or arrive later to experience the forest as it comes alive at night. Guests may arrive any time within the first 45 minutes of their timeslot. Tours will be gathered at approximately 15 minute intervals on a first come basis for an up-close look at the forest’s not-so-spooky side. Before or after your tour, gather around the campfire for complimentary refreshments, create your own critter-themed craft, enjoy family-friendly games, and take some memorable fall photos.
Whether you're welcoming the change in seasons or simply looking for a fun and meaningful outdoor experience, this is the perfect way to spend a crisp October evening—connecting with nature, not fright.
All ages welcome. No strollers please. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held rain or shine, but dress for the weather. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
