Sail for 3 hours and learn about the geology of the Palisades from George Harlow, Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences of the American Museum of Natural History, followed by a lesson in the art of nautical knots with the Meerwald crew.
- Each trip is limited to 40 people. Fees must be pre-paid; check-in at the dock gate. Check website to confirm dates--there are no refunds.
- Sail is rain or shine; proceed to boat basin and wear rain gear. In severe weather, sails may be cancelled by the captain a the dock and vouchers will be issued.
- All participants should meet at the Alpine Boat Basin, exit 2 off the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Weekend sails do not include $5 parking fee.
- Feel free to bring food and beverages (beer/wine ok, but no liquor) but be prepared to take everything with you after the sail.
- Restrooms available dockside only.
