On this walk, use all your senses to identify trees by leaf shape, bark texture, and even smell. Birch and sassafras (whose sap flavors sodas we enjoy) have familiar scents. Look for rare American Chestnuts and learn which trees produce those round prickly seed pods. Discover the essential roles trees play in our ecosystem.
Program is intended for adults and families with children 5 and up.
Please dress for the weather, program is both in and outdoors. Rain or shine. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited.
Online registration is no longer available, but space is still available in the program. Interested families are welcome to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the program start time to register and pay with cash or check.
