lInterested in Forest School but have children too young for our school year offerings? Try our Family Forest School program! This 90 minute program will allow children 18 months to 3.5 years and their caregivers time to explore at the pace of young children and become immersed in the environment.

Each week we will set out to visit some of our favorite Forest School play spots and engage in developmentally appropriate nature exploration and experimentation. Our play will be hands-on, messy, and fun! This program will be held outdoors, rain or shine, and is only cancelled in the event of extreme weather, with 1 makeup date available per session. Please dress accordingly! Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Class may not run if there is low registration. Fees are per caregiver/child pair. Siblings may attend with a caregiver/child pair at a reduced rate for the series. No unregistered siblings, please!

Class will not be held on Tuesday, September, 23. Makeup dates are October 21 for Series 1 and December 2 for Series 2.

Join the Fight to Protect Our Forest!

The TNC Preserve is under siege by invasive plant species—and we need you to help defend it! These aggressive plants are choking out native species, damaging ecosystems, and threatening our forest’s natural balance.

Twice a month, our Forest Defenders team gathers to clear out these invaders and restore the health of our woodlands. You’ll learn how to identify invasive species and work side-by-side with our expert Land Manager using safe and effective removal techniques. It’s a hands-on, high-impact way to make a real difference in local conservation—and it’s more fun than you think!

Forest Defenders welcomes adults, teens, and families—children 15 and under must be accompanied by a guardian. All hours count toward school or community service requirements. Activities take place entirely outdoors, so please dress for the weather and terrain. In case of inclement weather, sessions will be rescheduled.

From owls and snakes to moths and mammals, you’ll meet live nocturnal animals and discover how they adapt to life in the nighttime woods.

Interested in Forest School but have children too young for our school year offerings?

      Makeup date is February 10.
