Enviroscape Model

Help TNC obtain a needed educational tool that provides a hands-on demonstration of the sources and effects of water pollution. Easily demonstrate how storm water runoff carries pollutants through the watershed to a pond or river. As well as the best management practices to prevent this type of pollution from occurring.

Canopy Branded Tent

Help TNC obtain two new 10×10 custom canopy branded pop-up tent's so that our staff and animals have the necessary protection when they are providing presentations at program settings that require a booth or helping guests at an outdoor tabling event.

Classroom Furniture

Help TNC obtain needed furniture to update our visitors center. Help us replace the furniture that has been well used (but no longer functions) and get furniture that meets the needs of todays TNC.

See our furniture wish list here

Penny Press Machine

Visitors always ask for an inexpensive keepsake when visiting TNC. A penny press machine will provide that and help generate income for our small non-profit. Help TNC obtain a fun way for visitors to take home a piece of TNC (while still leaving no trace).

StoryWalk® Fixtures

TNC's StoryWalk® trail is a visitor favorite however the current method to hang the pages of each book is wasteful and often the entire book has to be replaced each season. These professional fixtures will make it so TNC does not have to waste materials and time.

Butterfly House

TNC seasonal butterfly house enables visitors to enjoy walking among free-flying native butterflies while learning about pollinators. The annual cost for care and maintenance of this fun and educational seasonal exhibit needs to be raised every year to ensure this exhibit can continue.

Pfister's Pond Survey

Help TNC fund a research project that will systematically measure the bathymetry (contour and depth) of Pfister’s Pond and create a 3D map in GIS (Geographic Information System).

Outdoor Classroom

Help fund a project to design a community outdoor classroom. This plan will create a space where all ages and abilities can play and learn by engaging with, and manipulating natural elements, materials, and habitats, through sensory, fine motor and gross motor experiences.

Education Awning

Many of our programs utilize the deck space in front of the visitor's center main entrance - apple cider making, maple sugaring and more use this space. Help TNC install an awning that will provide shade and protect visitors and students from inclement weather.

Pavilion Path Lighting

Help TNC replace and upgrade the current lighting fixtures (bollards) which are prone to vandalism, waste energy, break easily, and require constant maintenance with LED bollards that are vandal resistant.

Pond Species Survey
$13,000 - $21,000*

Help TNC learn more about Pfiser's Pond. This survey will provide information as to what species may be found and identify any invasive species.

Project will include:
  • A map of dominant plant species and estimated relative abundance.
  • A list of organisms found.
  • A list of native organisms observed.
  • A list of non-native organisms observed
*$13,000 less in depth survey or $21,000 for a complete survey

Fit-Trail System

Help TNC add new recreation elements for all visitors to enjoy. Fitness trails combine exercises with walking or jogging to provide a well-balanced fitness routine. With exercise stations spaced along a trail, the participant proceeds from one station to the next and performs the exercises illustrated at each station.

Campfire Ring Education Pavilion

Help TNC construct a covered pavilion in its campfire ring education space. This space is utilized by thousands of school children, scouts, and campers. Additional outdoor classroom space will support and allow students to more closely observe our forest and wetland habitats; and provide the shade and inclement weather protection to year-round, all-season programming. TNC completed a smaller pavilion in 2022 in our Forest School classroom space and this additional covered pavilion will complete the necessary structures for our current outdoor classroom spaces.
